We are pleased to call for interested individuals, groups and organisations to conduct English Enrichment classes for students and home-based workers. The purpose of the grant is to train students, home-based workers and working professionals in Business English for aspiring entrepreneurs, instil confidence in writing English and public speaking. These small grants are awarded and managed by the Maldivian Democracy Network as part of a grant by the American Center in Maldives.

Objectives of the grant

The primary objective of this grant is to provide opportunities to improve the command in English language for students who need additional help to score better in exams and improve the usage of business English for entrepreneurs. The grant aims to impart participants with the introductory knowledge in creative writing and marketing skills that can pave way for potential opportunities in their respective fields.

This invitation is open for proposals of up to US$4,000 outlining a program to develop a course outline and conduct Business English classes for 30 home-based workers/entrepreneurs and English Enrichment Classes for 30 students by the close of August 2018.
